Christmas Decor 2019

The sign is made from using the top of our old coffee table, I whitewashed it. Then I cut out the letters from vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo.
We hang our Christmas cards here year after year. This large wooden frame was part of the packaging from one of my kid’s beds. I painted it then stapled chicken wire to the back and hung on the wall.
I found this old pie stand in someone’s trash pile. I have used it ever since in my house. I always decorate it differently depending on the season and holiday.
We have a long staircase and most years I decorate it more with garland and lights, but this year I wanted to keep it simple.
My coziest room in the house. We heat our house mostly by using our woodstove. I love the warmth it gives us and how it makes us snuggle on the couches together. I found these large metal buckets at a variety store near us for $5. I use one for my tree skirt and the other to hold the extra wood for our fire.
I found these fun Christmas trees at target last year for 90% off. The sign above the sink I made using an old sign someone gave me. I turned it over then made a stencil and then handpainted it.
I love this desk my husband and I made together. We bought an old solid pine door and cut it down, stained it and topped it with a thin layer of polyurethane. We found 2 old file cabinets cleaned and painted them to hold up the top. It’s cute and very functional.
