Decorating for Easter 2020

My kids love Holidays as almost all children do. For me, I get so excited that I get to decorate for them. Easter is such a bright happy time to decorate.

I love using flowers from my yard in arrangements this time of year. Those lovely daffodils alone with a bunch of carnations and a bunch of tulips from Walmart makes this a breath of fresh air. The ceramic eggs are some that I painted when I was a little girl. The little birdie container from Walmart and the pink glasses from Target.

Using things you already have around your house is key to mixing it up season after season. For spring I love finding things that are light and bright and adding them to my decor.

I like to use any sort of wicker basket I have and add any books to my coffee table that inspires spring living. After Easter is over they always have these white hollow eggs that go on clearance. I love these! They are fun for the kids to paint or use sharpies on to decorate and I love to keep some white to use in different groups to decorate with.

I always look around my house for things that shout spring to me. These faux peonies and these strawberry baskets I got for a wedding from Target. This table gets played with and rearranged by the kids a lot at my house, so I make sure it’s mostly all kid-proof.

Adding any greenery you have to your house at this time is a great idea. It wipes away the dingey winter and lets life in again. This little bunny is one I painted when I was a little girl too. (I’m pretty positive my mom did most of the painting). The tall jar is from Target and so is the candle hurricane.

It looks like real chocolate wrapped bunny but it’s not. I love this fun guy. Faux orchids are the way to go, they look almost as real as the real live ones.

This year I kept my mantle very simple. Easy peasy.

I can’t get enough of any real flowers in my house. I planted these in this window planter for now and when the weather warms up a little more I will relocate them outside.
