There are few things that bring me more instant joy than to work with fresh flowers. This year I decided since the winter was dragging on and on I would ask all the husbands of my girlfriends that lived nearby if they would want me to make their wives Valentine’s Day arrangements. I didn’t charge them to make them I just charged them the actual cost of the flowers.

I was in Heaven that so many of them wanted to take me up on the offer.

One of my friends wanted all the bright flowers. She loves daisies and yellow.

This friend is obsessed with Coke so her husband asked if I could do something for her in a Coke bottle. I found some old ones at a consignment store and put them together with a ribbon.

I loved to see what each of the men picked out for their wives. Some of them were very specific about what they wanted for them and some just let me choose.

I love these beautiful French Tulips. Oh, and I can’t forget about the ranunculus. These garden Roses are to die for.

Each arrangement was unique, from the vase they were placed into the flowers that were inside. It was fun to work with these cumquats too.

Flowers inspire me. While I am working with them I am filled with a sense of relaxation and peace.
